Have you ever read this book, A Tale of Two Cities? I have not read this book, and I don’t know about this book. This book’s cover picture was a little bit scary. That’s why I chose this book. This book story was about like an execution. A man is going to be put to death. The man has a wife. But he is going to be put to death. It was very sad. And in this story, how to kill the person was by guillotine, so that was too scary.

This brand has made by Guccio Gucci. So this brand called Gucci. This brand deal with like bags, shoes, purse or wallet, wrist watch, perfume, or of course dresses or clothes. I like this brand, because I like the logo of Gucci. I think this logo is very cute. I want to have something of this brand, but it’s too expensive for me.

Have you read this book? I haven’t. This book cover picture was looks very sad. And I can’t understand the title mean, so that is why I chose this book. This book title is Bleak House. I know the word break, but I didn’t the word bleak. So I thought like what is this Bleak House mean? Bleak mean was like of a situation, not encouraging or giving any reason to have hope. And after I read this book, I understand that mean.

I chose the book Frankenstein. This Frankenstein story was written by Mary Shelley. This story is her outstanding work. Do you know Frankenstein story? In the story, Frankenstein was just a human. He is a Genius scientist. He could make a human. But what he made was looks very scary. So he abandon the scary man. The scary man was very good and kind inside. But people around him avoided him. So he got angry to Frankenstein. This is kind of this story, but did you know this story? I didn’t. I thought this was very interesting. I like this story.

There is a boy in this story. His name is Henry Thomas as Elliott. Elliott and ET will be like a best friends. I didn’t really like this kind of story, but my friends were saying E.T. is very good. That is why I chose this book. I thought this story was very good. This story makes many people being moved. If you never see this one, you should see one time.

I chose this book Alice in Wonderland. Do you know this? I think almost all people know or have heard this. Many people know this story, but actually this story is very old. The first time I knew this story was maybe 15 or 14 years ago. That is very long time ago. In this story, there is a girl names Alice. She is just a cute girl, but there are many other interesting characters in this story. It’s like Talking animals or moving cords. My favorite character is a Cheshire cat. This cat is a purple cat. He can disappeared. I really like this characters.

Do you know Sherlock Holmes? I think this is very famous, so maybe you know. All of Sherlock Holmes are very famous detective story. The main character of this story is of course Sherlock Holmes. He has extremely observing eye, and power of reasoning. When I was a junior high school student that was the first time I read this story. I thought this story was very interesting. I usually didn’t like this kind of story, like mystery story. But I’m very interested like this story, since I red this story. The very interesting parts of this story was each of the inspection of the scene I think. I really like that parts.

In this Jurassic Park 3, the main character is Alan Grant. How many dinosaurs do you know? In this story, there are Triceratops, Corythosaurus, Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Brachiosaurus, and so on. I think dinosaurs are very scary but they are very cool.

DREAMS

I already told about my dreams, but I think I have more other dreams for my future, so this time I will talk about my dreams.

My dream is to be a good person. I want to be kind for all of people around me. I like to do something for someone. I want to take my time for someone, and I want the person to be happy.

In the future, I want to be married and I want to have my own family. But if I have family, and have children, I must work for family, so I think it will be no time to do what I like. That is not bad, because to work for my family is good thing. But if I don’t have family, other ways I could have time to do what I want.

If I can do anything I like, I want to go to America, and I want to see my friends of America. It’s not just like a trip. I want to go America, and live in America. To live in America is my other dream. When I was in America six years ago and for ten months, I could hear and speak English well, but now I’m too bad. It past more than six years, and in the six years I was not using English, so I think I forgot how I speak English. This is so bad and sad for me. I really liked to speak English. This is why I want to go and live in America. I want my English back.

My other dream is to be good parents. I want to have three children, and I want to be friendly or good with my future husband. I think if the parent of the family is being nice to each other, the family will be very happy. And I want my future children will be nice to everyone that around them. cousins

I already told about many things, so it’s very hard to think about what I should talk about. I told about my family, and my boyfriend’s family so the next, I think I will talk about my cousins. Is that ok? Thank you.

I think you of course know what cousin means, but first I will teach you what cousin is. A cousin means your sister or brother’s children. Do you have cousins? If you have cousins, how many cousins do you have? My boyfriend has five cousins. I have eleven cousins. I have four cousins on my father's side, and I have seven cousins on my mother side. On my father's side, there are one boy and three girls. On my mother's side, there are three boys and four girls.

My father has one older sister, and one younger brother. His sister's name is Yumiko. Her husband's name is Ryuya. They have two children. So those children are my cousins. Two of my cousins’ names are Miho and Yusuke. Miho is 23 years old, and Yusuke is 22 years old. Miho is a designer. She is a very kind person. She is a very quiet girl. She really likes to go shopping. I think she looks like her mother. And she is my oldest cousin. Yusuke is working at a big camera company. He has a very cute face like a girl. He is very good at his work. He is a very good person. He was very quiet when he was young, but now he talks a lot. I think he looks like his father. It’s so funny.

My father’s younger brother's name is Kazuya. He is 50 years old. He is a member of the Self-Defense Forces. His wife's name is Hitomi. They have two children. So those children are also my cousins. The two cousins’ name are Miki and Yuki. They are both girls. Miki is eight years old. She has very white skin. She is really like a girl. She cries immediately. And she gets angry quickly. I think she is not so good. But she is cute. Yuki is six years old. She has very loud voice. She is also cries immediately, and gets angry quickly too. The two girls are very good sisters.

My mother has two younger sisters. Their names are Mihoko and Mariko. Mihoko is three years younger than my mother. She is 47 years old. She is working at a care facility. She is a care worker. Her husband's name is Katsumi. I think he is younger than Mihoko. I don’t know how old he is. He is working at a civil landscaping  engineering company. He owns the company. My mother’s dad was the company president. And when Mihoko and Katsumi were married, Katsumi had moved to Mihoko’s family. Katsumi was a staff of this company. And later, the company president was changed to Katsumi. Anyway, Mihoko and Katsumi have three children. The children's names are Shin, Mako, and Kaho. Shin is a boy. Shin is 22 years old. He wants to be like his father, and he will follow his father, so he is working at a different civil landscaping engineering company and he is training. He is a very nice guy. He has a girlfriend. He is very fun. He drinks a lot. He is very tall. He is very good at Judo. He looks a lot like his father. Mako is a girl. She is 20 years old. She is very quiet and very smart. I think she is cute. She likes her mother very much. She is going to Shokei University. She wants to be a nutritionist when she graduates from the college. She is very quiet, so I don’t talk with her so much so I don’t know about her so much. Kaho is a girl too. She is 15 years old. She is a junior high school student. She is not so friendly with her classmates. She didn’t go to school so much. She just doesn’t like to go school, but she likes to study, and she likes to play. She was very good at playing basketball. She is very tall. She likes her father very much. She always goes somewhere with her father. She and her father are very friendly. I think that is a very good thing. Her father looks very happy. She likes to go to pet shops with her father.

Mariko is eleven years younger than my mother. She is 39 years old. Her husband name is Kenji. Mariko is working at a hospital, she is like a nurse. Kenji is working at a big car company. His work is very awesome. They have four children. There are two boys and two girls. Their names are Jin, Kou, Riho, and Kako. Jin is a boy. He is 15 years old. He is same age as Kaho, and he is a junior high school student. He is a very kind kid. He always takes care of his sisters. I think that is so good. He is very good at playing sports. He likes soccer very much. When he was little, he was so cute. He is like a guy, so I don’t talk to him so much now. I think he will be a very good person. Kou is a boy. He is 12 years old. I think he is going to elementary school. I think he is in the sixth grade. He is very naughty now. He also takes care of his sisters a lot. I think he likes his sisters very much. He really likes soccer a lot, like his brother. He has a very cute face. When he smiles, he is very cute. Riho is a girl. She is 10 years old. She is going to elementary school. seasons

There are four seasons in Japan. One is Spring, and the others are Summer, Fall, and Winter. Everyone have a favorite season and a hate season they hate. Which season do you like? And do you have a season you hate? I like Fall or Winter, and I hate Summer. So this time I will tell you about what seasons I like and I don’t like.

I like Spring and Fall as I just said. What do you think the reasons are that I like those seasons? I will tell you about the reasons. I think Spring and Fall are the middle seasons. Both seasons are not so hot and not so cold. I like that. Another reason I like Spring and Fall is my birth day is in march. March is in Spring, right? And Fall is before Winter. I don’t like when it is warm out, so to be in to cool is my best time. So actually I like Fall better than Spring. Spring is to before Summer. So Spring is a little warm. I think Spring and Fall are beautiful. In Spring, the flowers and the sky are so beautiful. The view makes me very happy, and make my heart warm. In Fall, the autumn leaves are so beautiful. I really like to go to see the autumn leaves in Fall very much.

I said I like Spring and Fall, but actually my favorite season is Winter. Winter is the best season. Do you know why? Do you want to know why? Ok, I will tell you. It is because winter is very cold! Some people say they don’t like cold. But I think if it’s cold out, there are no bugs. Bugs like warm places, but winter is cold so bugs hate that, and there will be no bugs in winter. I think that is wonderful. Because I really hate bugs. So you will know why I hate summer. Summer is very hot. And bugs like summer.

Let me say again. Bugs like warm places. Warm places are in summer. So there are a lot of bugs in summer. That is why I really hate summer. Do you understand? Thank you.

I said summer is so bad for me, but in summer there are many fun and exciting events in Japan or also around the world. In Japan, there are many Matsuri, fireworks, or barbecue in summer. We can go to the sea to play or swim in summer also. We can have a lot of fun times in summer. I think so too. But for me, the presence of bugs is very big bad point and is much worse than the fun things. So my favorite season is winter, and I hate summer, spring and fall is just better.

My other family

Do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend? I have a boyfriend. I have nothing to talk about, so I will tell you about my boyfriend, and I will introduce his family this time.

My boyfriend’s name is Masa. He is 23 years old. His blood type is AB. His birthday is in August . He is a very kind person.

Why I think he is so kind is he always does things for me. If I tell him that I’m thirsty, he says he will go to get some drink for me, and he gives me a drink. Becouse of things like that. I think he is very kind. So I love him.

There are seven members in his family. I will talk about his father first. His father’s name is Yuji. He is 59 years old. His birthday is in April. He is same age as Sanma Akashiya who all of you know. His blood type is AB. He is right handed. He has an older sister whose name is Rie. She worked at a hospital. She is like a doctor. She has a daughter and a son. The daughter’s name is Miyabi, and the son’s name is Yoshinori. Miyabi and Yoshinori will be my boyfriend’s cousins. Miyabi is 38 years old. Yoshinori is 28 years old. They are both married. Miyabi’s husband's name is Tetsuji. And Yoshinori’s wife's name is Ayumi. Miyabi and Tetsuji have a kid. The kid's name is Takuma. Yoshinori and Ayumi have two kids. The kids’ name are Keigo and Takumi. Takuma is 5 years old. Keigo is 7 years old. Takumi is only two. Takuma is going to Keiai kindergarten. But anyway, my boyfriend’s father Yuji likes to drink too much. He drinks every night. Yuji likes to drink highballs in summer, so in winter, he likes to drink Shochu. He likes Imo-jochu better than Kome-jochu. Yuji likes to watch baseball games on TV. He really likes baseball. This is like my boyfriend. Masa likes to watch baseball games on TV too. They like a team called the Yomiuri Giants, because Yuji adore Sadaharu Oh, and Shigeo Nagashima. Yuji’s favorite food is Sashimi. He eats Sashimi every day. He is growing some kinds of vegetables  from about two years ago. He is growing carrots, radishes, and cabbages. Yuji doesn’t like animals, but in his house, they had a dog about 5 years ago. The dog’s name was Base. Base was very fine every day. He was always running outside. But sadly he died 5 years ago. The reason why he died was because of a thunder storm. Masa’s family was so sad he said. His mother was so sad about it.

Masa’s mother’s name is Roko. She is 57years old. Her blood type is AB. Her birthday is in August. She has an older sister. The sister’s name is Meiko. Meiko has a husband. The husband's name is Tsugiyoshi. They have two daughters and a son. Their names are Kana, Nachi, and Takuro. Kana is 35 years old. Nachi is 32 years old. Takuro is 31 years old. Kana, Nachi, and Takuro will be my boyfriend’s cousins. Kana has a husband. She married with Makoto. They have two kids. One is a boy, and the other is a girl. The boy's name is Hayato and the girl's name is Hina. Hayatio is 8 years old. Hina is 7 years old. I have seen their pictures, and they are so cute and I thought they are very interesting. Oh, but anyway, I will go back to talk about my boyfriend’s mother Roko. She is a child minder. She works at Onjaku hospital nursery. She really likes children. She really likes to care for children. I think she is very good child minder. She has a lot of hobbies. When she have some time to do what she likes, she is knitting, writing letters and drawing letters, and hula dancing. These are her hobbies.

Next, I will talk about my boyfriend’s older sister. Her name is Akane. I think her name is very cute. I like that name. She is the oldest. She is 30 years old. Her blood type is B. Her birthday is in October. She graduated from Kumamoto Gakuen University high school. And also she was going to Kumamoto Gakuen University. She likes to drink very much. But sometimes she becomes very drunk. Masa always tells me her room is very messy. I heard she will marry soon. She has a boyfriend. The boyfriend name is Takahiro. I have never seen her boyfriend, but I think he is very nice person. Masa always says he hopes his sister will be happy with Takahiro.

Masa has an older brother. His name is Akihiko. He is 28 years old. His birthday is in August. His blood type is AB. He is very good at doing anything. That way, he is very smart. He really likes to watch baseball games on TV just like Masa or his father. He lives in Tokyo. He is an architect since he graduated from vocational school. Masa says he is very nice brother. When he talks about his brother, he looks very happy. Akihiko married last September. In next September, he has wedding ceremony in a very nice wedding hall. His wife is a girl, of course. The wife name is Minako. She is from Hitoyoshi. I heard she is very good at cooking.

Hey, we cannot forget about grandpa and grandma. Masa's grandpa's name is Tamio, and his grandma's name is Keiko. Actually, Masa’s grandpa died about two years ago. But he was a very very wonderful person. The people around him were always saying he is very wonderful. He was a very big person for the town. He was a very nice and smart person, so the people around him always said that they want to be like him.

After he went, grandma was most looks sad. But now, it’s about two years ago, so she is ok. And so she often goes out to meet her friends. She looks very happy now.

I hope my boyfriend’s family will be happy after this. I love my boyfriend, and his family.

past and home

There are a little more that I can talk about the day I felt happy and had such a fun time, so I would like to talk to you about the happy day when I felt fun. The happy day when I felt fun is about six or seven years ago, when I was in high school.

I went to America for about ten months as an exchange student. I think I’m writing about the same thing, but it’s because this is one of my biggest memories ever. I stayed at a host family’s house in Iowa, but I could visit New York City and Washington DC for about a week with my two host sisters and a friend from the high school where I went. In New York City, we went to the Times Square. Times Square was very wonderful and it was like a dream for me. When I was a little, I really wanted to go and visit the New York City. So when I could visit to the New York City, I was really happy. I went to Broadway and saw two musicals which I really wanted to see at least one time someday. One of the musicals that I really wanted to see was called “Wicked”, and the other one was “The phantom of the opera”. Maybe almost all people have heard the names of the musical “The phantom of the opera”. Both of the musicals are very famous and popular. I already knew what those two musicals were about, and the songs of the musicals. I was taking a choir class in the school I went to in America, and in the choir class we were practicing many songs from the two musicals that I saw on Broadway. Why I already knew the stories and the songs about the two musicals, before I saw those two musicals. If you knew songs of a musical before you will see the musical, you will feel really excited to see the musical, I think. I was very excited to see that musicals “Wicked” and “The phantom of the opera”. In New York, or Washington DC, there are more and more other wonderful things. If I could go to those places again, I want to go to see some of the other musicals again, but also I want to go and visit some other famous places.

From here, I will talk about the place where I live now. I was living alone in Kumamoto city when I entered my college. But I quit  living alone a few years ago.  I am from Yamaga city in Kumamoto. I live in Yamaga city now. It’s very far away from the college I go to. I am taking my car to go to college every day. It is takes about an hour or over an hour. It’s too hard to me to go school. I really liked to live in Kumamoto city alone, but it was very lonely for me. It is because I like to be with somebody like my family, or my friends. Almost all my friends are living with their family. Sometimes when I am having fun with my friends, and that takes too long, my friends call their home or their family to tell they will get home late, or they do not need supper that day. If I hear them talking like that, I feel very envious. I do not like to be only one anytime. Living in Yamaga, I feel better, because of course there is my family, and they are always waiting for me. I always can be very happy for that. Yamaga city is very different from Kumamoto city. There are a lot of tall buildings, stores, cars, people, and so on in Kumamoto city, but there are not so many of those things in Yamaga city. Of course, it is because Kumamoto is the biggest city in Kumamoto prefecture, you know. Yamaga is like a country town. I like the people in Yamaga. There are a lot of kind people around me in Yamaga. I love my friends from Yamaga. And each of my friend’s family is also very good people. If there are a lot of good and kind people around you, don’t you feel happy? I do. That way, I am really happy to be from Yamaga city. It’s very hard to go to school sometime, but I love to living in Yamaga city. Do you like your place?

My favorite artists

Do you have any favorite artists? I have some favorite artists. I like Nishino Kana, Arashi, B’z, aiko, back number, RIP SLYME, YUKI, Nickelback, and saveral others. Do you know these artists? I like Japanese singers. Almost all of my favorite songs are Japanese pop songs. I will introduce each artist.

Nisino Kana is 25 years old. Her birthday is March 18th. She is from Mie prefecture, and her nickname is Kanayan. She sings pop songs and some R&B. She is very good at speaking English. I really like her, because she is very cute. She sings and also she writes songs. I think that's very cool. I always like her songs and almost all of them are love songs.

Arashi is like a national idol group. There are five members in this group. Satoshi Ohno is the leader of this group. Sho Sakurai, Masaki Aiba, Kazunari Ninomiya, and Jun Matsumoto are also in the group. I love them, because they are very friendly. They are all around thirty years old, but they are very cool and cute. I still like their songs . I like Kazunari Ninomiya best in this group. He is very cute. When I listen to their songs, I feel very happy.

Do you know B'z? B'z is a band. There are two members in this band. Their names are Koshi Inaba and Takahiro Matsumoto. But actually, there are  three or four other members in this group. The other members are mainly playing instruments. Koshi Inaba is vocal. His voice is really nice. He has such a good voice. Takahiro Matsumoto is a guitarist. He is very good at playing guitar, and he is very famous all around the world. I have been to B’z concerts about three or four times. The first time I went to the concert, I was very excited. After the first time I went to the concert, I felt like I want to know about them. Then I could go to more of their concerts again and again, so I was very happy. I like B’z very much.

aiko is a very famous singer song writer in Japan. She is 38 years old, and her birthday is November 22^nd. She is from Osaka. I love her songs. Her voice is very cute I think. I have been to her concert one time. It was very fun. She is very good at talking. Her hawks are is very interesting. I love her that way.

Do you know the group called back number? I don’t know so much about them, but I like their songs. They have very good songs. If I listen to their songs, each word comes into my heart. I think many people would like their songs and them.

RIP SLYME is a hip-hop group in Japan. There are four members in this group. Their names are Ryo-z, Ilmari, Pes, Su, and DJ Fumiya. I really like this group, because they are very interesting. Also I like their songs. I usually don’t like hip-hop music, but for some reason I like their songs. If you have never heard their songs, you should listen to some of their songs one time.

Do you know YUKI? She is a Japanese J-pop singer. She is 42 years old. Her birthday is February 17^th. She is from Hokkaido. She was a member of JUDY AND MARY. She was a vocalist of the group. I liked JUDY AND MARY’s songs, so I knew her. She is 42, but she doesn't look so old. She is very cute. A lot of people say she is very cute. So in that way, I like her. I really like her looks. Also her songs are cute too.

Nickelback is a rock band from Canada. I think they are very famous around the world. The first time I heard their songs was when I was 16. When I was 16, I was in America. And at that time, some of their songs are very famous and so I heard thir songs a lot of times. I really liked their vocals.

Anyway I like these artists. And I like more other artists.

American friends

Hello. Today, I want to talk about my friends in America.

When I was in high school, I went to America. I was an exchange student from my high school. I went to Clarinda Iowa. Before I went to there, I had just three American friends. They were also exchange student from their high school, like me. Their names were Katie, Julia, and Lindsey.

When I started to live there, Lindsey was my host sister. She is two years older than me. I was living with Lindsey’s family. There were four members in the family including her. The four members are her mom, dad, and younger sister. They gave me a new empty room for me to use. The room was very cute. I was so happy.

Katie is the same age as me. Her family members are her parents, and three brothers, and her. Katie and the one of her brother is twins. And the other two brothers are also twins. I was very surprised that they are both twins. Katie’s parents were working at the city’s middle school. Her parents were both teachers. And they are both music teachers. Katie’s family was a music family. The all of her family members are very good at playing music, and also they are very good at singing too. That was so cool.

Julia is also the same age as me. And she is a twin too. Her family members are her parents, and two sisters. Her sister’s names are Nicole and Stephanie. Julia and Nicole are twins. Stephanie is their older sister.

For the first three months I was living at Lindsey’s house, but there was a little problem, so I needed to change my host family. And I moved to Julia’s house. So I spend the remaining seven months with Julia’s family.

Anyway, those three girls are my very good friends.

study abroad

Have you ever been to a foreign country? When I was little, my dream was to go to some foreign country. The reason of why my dream was like that is I was going to a class of English conversation. I liked the class, I could meet and play together with some foreign people. I really like the people who speak English. Their English was very wonderful. I was so surprised. And so, I really wanted to go to outside of Japan, sometime.

Actually I have been to a foreign country about six years ago. I went abroad to America, as an exchange student. My high school had an exchange program. I didn’t know my high school had an exchange program like that, so I was very surprised. I talked to my mom about the exchange program, and also I said I really want to go. Mom said like “yap, go for it!” I was so happy. My dream has become true.

Every year, the exchange student are two. But that year, I was the only student going. I was very nervous. But this was very good for me to study and experience.

In August, I left from Japan. I went to Iowa. I went to Clarinda High School. Clarinda high school and my high school are sister schools. The first day that I went to the school, there were students was looking at me, and the boys are very tall, so it was so scary. I was alone and I couldn’t speak English well, so I felt anxiety.

There are three of my friends from Clarinda High school. They were also exchange students from Clarinda High school. All three are girls, and their names were Julia, Katie, and Lindsey. They are very cute and nice. I love them. They helped me in the high school. So I was so appreciative of them.

my family

Do you like your family? I love my family. I think my family is very fun when we are together, because everyone is so unique. I think I am unique too because a lot of people around me say I’m unique. I really like to spend time with my family, but if I marry, maybe I will have a new family. I am very looking forward to making my new family. So I would like to talk about my future family this time.

After I graduate from college, I think I will get a job and work hard. And I will work there for more than three years. I’m 22 years old now, and when I get 25 years old, I want to marry a man. I hope the man will be my boyfriend. When I’m 25, I will marry, and when I’m 26, I want to have a baby's. The first baby will be a girl. I want to think about the baby name, but anyway. I had a baby, so maybe I will have some break, but I won’t quit my job, or I want to start  another job like a part time job.

Two years after the first baby was born, I have a second baby. The baby will be a boy. When I’m 28, I want to have the second baby. And next two years after the second baby born, I want to have third baby. The baby will be a girl.

I want to have three kids. I think it’s because me too. When six or seven years past from the third baby born, I want to build a new house. This will be my dream house.

I want to make a happy family, like my family. I want my new family to be happy and kind family.

My hometown

My hometown is Yamaga city. I have lived in Yamaga city about 17 years. I’m 22, but I was in America for about a year, and about 3 years, I was living alone in Kumamoto. So it’s 17 years total in Yamaga. Anyway, I will introduce my hometown Yamaga city.

Yamaga city is in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan. The area is 299.67 square kilometers. The population is about 53450 people. Yamaga city is located at the very northern part of Kumamoto prefecture. Have you ever been to Yamaga city? Yamaga city is famous for its hot springs and Yamaga Tourou festival. Do you know the Yamaga Tourou festival? If you don’t, you should just come to Yamaga. The Tourou festival is on August 15th and 16th. This festival is a very famous festival, so a lot of people come to see this festival. I go to this festival every year. There are a lot of Yatai around, I really like those Yatai foods so much. Yatai is not just for this festival, but Yamaga is a very good city, so I really want you to come Yamaga during these festival days.

Oh, and I almost forgot one more about the famous thing in my home town Yamaga. It is an old building. I think a lot of people have heard this name, and many people know this place. It’s the Yachiyoza. Do you know Yachiyoza? Yachiyoza is like an old playhouse. This was built at 1910. This is very very famous place so you really should go visit.

I love my hometown, but after I graduate from college, I want to move somewhere else. It is just because I want to live alone again. I want to live alone in Kumamoto city again. But if I move somewhere, I will come back to my hometown Yamaga, once a month. I love my hometown and my family so much.

The best day in my life

I will talk about the best day of my life this time. My best day was about six years ago, when I could go to New York City.

When I was in high school, I went to Iowa in America for ten months as an exchange student. I stayed at a host family’s house in Iowa. For about a week, I had a chance to travel to New York City and Washington DC. I went on a trip with my two host sisters and a friend from the school where I went.

In New York City, we went to Times Square. This is of course the first time I went Times Square. Times Square was very wonderful and it was like a dream place. From when I was a little, to go to the New York City was my big dream. So when I could visit to the New York City, I was really happy.

During the trip in New York City, I went to Broadway, and we saw two musicals which I really wanted to see at least one time someday. The one was called “Wicked”, and the other one was “The Phantom of the Opera”. Maybe almost all people have heard the name of the musical “The Phantom of the Opera”. Both musicals are very famous and popular. I was taking a choir class in the school I went to in America. In the choir class we were practicing many songs from the two musicals. So I already knew the stories and the songs about the two musicals. To see the musicals was so nice. I was very glad to see the two musicals in Broadway.

If I could get enough time and enough money, I really want to go to New York City, and I want to see some musicals again.

My dreams

Do you have dream? Everyone have at least one dream. A small thing like you want to meet somebody you like is a dream I think. Whatever you want or whatever you need is your dream. I have a lot of dreams. So I will talk about my dream this time.



To married with a man is one of my dream. I think almost all girls say this. To meet somebody like cool or cute or kind, it’s very good thing. And to love each other is feel very happy. I have a boyfriend now, and so if I could get married with him, I will be so happy.

I want to have my own family. This is one of my dream too. My dream is to have three kids. I want to have two girls and one boy. The three kids and my husband, and me. This is my dream family members.

After I had babies, I want to do some jobs again. I want to work forever I can. This is my other dream. Just like a part time job is would be nice I think. I just don’t want to be like a homemaker or housewife. I want to go to work and do something.

I like to sing songs. So I want to be very good at sing. This is the other my small dream. From when I was a little, I really like to sing. Singing is very fun and it make me so happy. When I was young, I wanted to be a singer, but it’s not easy. I know I can’t be a singer, so I just want to be good at sing.

Dream is just whatever you want. Everyone has at least one dream. If it’s big or it’s small, dream is dream. To have a dream is very nice to your life. I want all of my dreams come true someday.

My best friend

I have a lot of friends, but my best friend is just one. So I will talk about my best friend this time.



First, I will introduce my best friend. She is a girl. Her name is Rika, and her age is same as me. Her birthday is June 3rd. Her tall is a little shorter than me. She has very big eyes, and she is so cute. There are seven members in her family. She has two older sisters. Her sisters are also very cute and beautiful. I really envy her sisters and her. Her grandfather and my grandfather is very good friends from when they were young. And also her father and my father are good friends from when they were young.

Rika and I live same city. But we were going to different kindergarten, so we first met each other in elementary school. When we were 1st grade in elementary school, Rika’s oldest sister was 6th grade. I really remember that Rika’s sister was very popular person in the school. In the elementary school, Rika and I were not so friendly. We were just friends.

When we were in junior high school, we get closer. I don’t really remember, but we were being very good friends. We were always together. She was very smart. During each breaks, we talked a lot. That time was very fun, and so I really remember it.

After graduate from junior high school, we went different high school. Her high school was in Yamaga, but my high school was in Tamana. So we couldn’t hung out so much. But we were still hunging out very often. We went to shopping or restaurant and we talked a lot about each high school and others. We had very good time.

Then I came to KGU and she went to the other college after graduate from high school. And now, she is still in college and finding job. Recently, we can’t really meet because we are both busy. But if we have some free time, I want to hung out with her so much. I love her. She is my best friend forever.

My favorite movies

Do you like to go to the movie theater? I really like to go to the movie theater. I like to go to see movies, and I also like to see movies at my house. So now I will talk about my favorite movies this time.


Do you know a movie called Mononoke-hime? This movie is one of the Studio Ghibli movies. Do you know who produced this movie? I will teach you that. This movie was produced by Hayao Miyazaki. Do you know him? He is a very famous movie producer. I think almost all people in Japan know him. He is very famous around the world I think.


Almost all of my favorite movies are the Ghibli movies, and these include Mononoke-hime, Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, Hauru no ugoku shiro, Mimi wo Sumaseba, and Tonari no Totoro. These are my favorite movies from Ghibli studios.


There is a new movie from Ghibli now. So I am thinking to go see the new movie in a movie theater. But this movie was not produced by Hayao Miyazaki. I think he already quit to producing movies. I was so sad about this. His movie was very interesting and cute. I really like his pictures. Totoro is cutest one I think.


Mimi wo Sumaseba is like a love story. I really like this story. I like this movie's song too. This song is also very popular, so you maybe have heard this song. Mononoke- hime is a very long movie. This movie's story is very hard to understand. When I was a little, I watched this movie, and I thought that it was a very good and interesting movie, but I think I couldn't understand the story. Recently, I saw this movie on the TV again. I was very surprised. I could understand that story this time. It means I did not understood when I was watching this movie when I was little.


Anyway, these movies are my favorite movies.

My favorite animals

If I have time to do whatever I want, and if it’s sunny, I often go to zoo. I really like to go to the zoo, because I like animals. I’m not going to zoo by myself, but I go with my friends or with my boyfriend. So I will talk about my favorite animals.

My favorite animals are monkeys, lions, and bears. As well as dogs and cats too. I like many kinds of animals.

So, I am going to tell you why I like those animals. First, I will tell you why I like monkeys. The reason I like monkeys is that monkeys are cute. I like baby monkeys. Baby monkeys are very cute. Baby monkeys have such cute eyes. Have you ever seen a baby monkey? If you see one, I think you will say you like monkey. And monkeys are very smart, and this is another reason I like them.

I also like lion. The reason I like lions is that they are very cool. Lions are little bit scary, but lions are also cute. Lions are like big, big cats. The reason I like bears is that they are big. Like lions, bears are very big and scary, but I think that are cute. And I think bear have very kind hearts, but this way just be my image. That is why I like those animals. So to go to the zoo and to watch those animals is really fun, and it makes me happy.

When I get a little bit older, I believe and want to have my own family, and I want to have a big house. And what I want to do is to have some pets in the house. I want to have a dog and a cat, and I will name them Pochi and Tama. I want to have a big and gentle dog and very small cat. I will love them a lot.

My treasures

I will talk about my special treasures. I have a lot of treasures, but this time I introduce
my doll friends. My special treasures are two dolls. I have a lot of other dolls in my room,
but these two are very special to me.

These dolls are both bears. One is about 25 cm high, and the color is pink. The other one
is about 15 cm high, and the color is green. The pink one’s name is Banana, and the
green one’s name is Ringo. I will explain why these two dolls are my special treasures.

It is because these two dolls are not just dolls. These dolls are my friends from when I
was 5 years old. When I was 5 years old, I went to Hokkaido with my grandmother. My
uncle and his family lived in Sapporo for his work, so my grandmother and I went to
visit my uncle. In Sapporo, my grandmother was bought two dolls for me. I got my two
dolls at that time. Those dolls are now my special treasures. And that day, I gave a
name for each doll. Since that day, Banana and Ringo is always with me, sitting my
desk.

When I was a high school student, I went to America as an exchange student for ten
months. To America, of course I took Banana and Ringo with me. I couldn’t leave them
at my house. When I was living alone in Kumamoto city, Banana and Ringo were also
with me. Banana and Ringo are just dolls, but I’m thinking they are alive.

In the future, maybe I move somewhere, or maybe I have new family. If any events or
any happening comes to me, I think I will take Banana and Ringo with me everywhere I
go. I love Banana and Ringo forever. And I thank my grandmother for giving them to
me.

Advice to my Kohai

Hello. I will give you some advice to get a credit of this class.

 

Do you want to get this writing class credit? Yes, of course you do. And I really want to　get this credit too, because this is the fourth time I am taking this class. I’m spending　very hard days now.

This is my fourth time of taking this class, so it means I couldn’t get this class credit　three times, so I will tell you why I think I couldn’t get this class credit, and then I think　you will understand what you need to do. First, I missed class over five times. The　reasons why I couldn’t go to class were almost always because I overslept. Second, I did　not turn in book reviews or essays. Those two things are the reasons why I couldn’t get　the credit I think.

Not only for this class but there are two things you need to do to get class credit. The one　thing of you need to do is just go to class. And the other thing of you need to do is turn in　all your home work by the due date. Also, turning things in by the due date is very　important.

1st period starts at 9 o’clock, it’s too early for us college students, I was thinking like　that. But if you going to be a working member of society after you graduate, 9 o’clock is　not so early. If you think so too, you need to think you must get up early as a practice to　be a member of society. Do and turn in your assignments by the due date is also good　practice too I think.

It is also for other classes that you taking too. The most important thing is to do your all　homework and turn it in by the due date. And the other thing that you need to pay attention is your attendance. You really need to go every each class that you are taking.

I hope you won’t be like me, and hope you will be a great student and a member of society in your future. I hope I will be like that too.
